Christina Petrone, Volunteer Coordinator
Cristina Petrone started with Community Works as a temporary employee in December of 2018. In January 2019, she was hired as their Volunteer Coordinator. Cristina loves spending time with her husband, Chris, and their two school-aged boys, exploring the natural beauty of Southern Oregon. She is passionate about the outdoors, mountain biking, swimming and hiking. Cristina had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mother for the last six years, after leaving corporate America.
During her years at home, her desire to be of service to abused children and families grew steadily. Cristina and her husband became foster parents in 2015, and are still fostering today. She is honored to be of service to children and families seeking safety and freedom from abuse. She believes it takes a community, not a survivor alone, to end the cycle of abuse and live free of fear, control and abuse of any kind. Survivors deserve a better life, and every employee and volunteer at Community Works is the gateway to that change.
