Debbie McQueen, Vice Chair & Development Chair

Debbie McQueen recently retired from Asante Health Systems after 32 years. She began her healthcare career 47 years ago, graduating from California State Northridge and UCLA Medical Center as a Physical Therapist. At Asante Debbie had a variety of roles including an Administrator with Asante before retiring. Debbie moved to the Rogue Valley in 1979 and she and her husband have made this their home where they have raised their 3 children.

Since retiring Debbie is spending more time with her family including her 6 grandchildren and she volunteers for the Britt Historical Society.  She loves to travel, hike and putter in her garden.

Debbie believes that retirement is not a time to put her feet up but a time to roll up her sleeves and dedicate her time to helping support Community Works in their mission and vision. Debbie believes in breaking the generational cycle of abuse resulting in drug abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. Community Works is critical to supporting the needs of so many in our community touched by abuse and Debbie is grateful for the opportunity to serve.
