Have You Been Sexually Abused? It is not your fault. You did not ask for it.

You are not alone.

Sexual abuse is any type of sexual activity that you do not agree to. It can happen in different situations, by a stranger in an isolated place, on a date, or in the home by someone you know.  Sexual assault happens to men, women, and children. It is never the victim’s fault.

Sexual assault can be verbal, visual, or anything that forces a person to join in unwanted sexual contact or attention.

Estimates indicate one in four women experience sexual violence and
up to one-third of adolescent girls report their first sexual experience as being forced.
