Community Works depends on the time and talent of our volunteers to make our services available to anyone who needs us. Thank you for your interest in supporting Community Works with your volunteer efforts!

Volunteers help answer HelpLine, as well as work with clients in-person at Dunn House Shelter, the Courthouse, and with our Children’s Program. We also have opportunities to help in the office or with fundraising.

Community Works’ Volunteer Training is required for Advocacy Services positions with direct contact with clients. These volunteer positions include Courthouse Volunteer Advocate, Dunn House Shelter Advocate, HelpLine Volunteer Advocate, Hispanic Services Volunteer, and Children’s Program Volunteer.  All Volunteer positions require completion of 32 hours of advocacy training, a criminal background check, and application.

All Volunteer Training takes place over two weekends for a total of 32 hours.
