At Community Works, we meet people in the midst of some of life’s darkest storms. Survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and stalking come to us with stories no one should ever have to tell—but also with courage that defies description.
Just like a kite finds its strength in the wind, our clients discover theirs through the support of advocates, counselors, emergency shelter, and a community that believes in them. Their flight begins when someone
offers a hand. That someone… is you.
Today, I ask you to look up. To imagine the impossible. To feel joy again, even as we honor the hard truths that brought us here. Because that is the essence
of this event. To celebrate resilience. To create possibility. To uplift.

A Million Dreams Gala 2025
On April 26, 2025, Community Works hosted our most unforgettable gala yet—A Million Dreams: For the World We’re Going to Make. As you watch the video, you’ll step right into a night of wonder, heart, and hope. Nearly 300 guests gathered in Southern Oregon for this unforgettable evening in support of Community Works, and the work we provide to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking. This year’s annual gala transported attendees into a dazzling circus-inspired celebration. From awe-inspiring stilt performers and mesmerizing vocalists to captivating artistic displays and a charismatic Ringmaster, every moment was designed to inspire, uplift, and ignite the power of possibility. Relive the magic and see how one incredible night helped shape a brighter future for survivors across our region.
Together, we raised over $328,000—our most successful event to date. Every dollar directly supports safe housing for survivors, transforming dreams of safety and healing into reality for countless families.
