Volunteer Trainings & Opportunities

Community Works strengthens lives and our community through prevention, support services, and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homeless youth and their families.

Give Time.
Change Lives.

We Always Need Your Help!
At Community Works, volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Every hour given, every skill shared, and every voice lifted in support helps survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and trafficking take their first steps toward safety and healing. With hundreds of volunteers standing beside us, we are able to reach more people, provide more care, and create a stronger, safer Southern Oregon.

From answering calls on our 24/7 HelpLine to offering comfort at Dunn House Shelter or supporting children through our programs, volunteers bring hope where it’s needed most. Others contribute their talents in the office, at events, or through fundraising—each role equally vital, each act a ripple of change.

Make A Difference

If you feel called to make a difference, we invite you to join us. Our Volunteer Training Program equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to serve with confidence and compassion. Advocacy positions such as HelpLine Volunteer, or Dunn House Shelter Advocate require 40 hours of training, the majority of which is completed over two weekends, along with a background check and application.

The impact is profound. When you volunteer with Community Works, you’re not just giving your time—you’re helping to save lives, restore dignity, and inspiring hope.
