COMMUNITY BASED ADVOCACY SERVICES
To make it easier for survivors to get the help they need, our advocates are co-located at key community sites, including the courthouse, hospitals, local law enforcement agencies, the Department of Human Services (DHS), Community Justice, colleges, and the CAC.
By being present in these spaces, our advocates can:
- Provide immediate support, safety planning, and information.
- Help survivors navigate complex systems like court, DHS, and law enforcement.
- Connect individuals and families directly to shelter, housing, and other Community Works services.
- Respond 24/7 to hospitals providing advocacy for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
- Ensure that survivors’ voices are heard and their rights are respected.
Our goal is to meet survivors where they are, reduce barriers to accessing help, and make sure no one has to face these systems alone.
